The communication engineering department was established at the faculty of engineering at An-Najah National University at the beginning of the year 2008/2009 to respond to the Palestinian social needs for distinguished and efficient abilities in communication engineering fields. It requires 165 credit hours through five years of study to obtain a B.Sc. in communication engineering.
The students must finish their graduation project through the last year in which they apply the acquired information in communication fields.
The program focus on the following major subjects digital and analog communication, signals and signals processing, communication networks, radar, Cellular communication, switching systems, artificial intelligence, satellite communication, antennas, programs and protocols for communication and data transfer, microwave, communication electronics and other subjects.
During the period of study and in order to consolidate the engineering fundamentals, the student must study practical courses in the laboratories of the communication engineering department, which include the Electrical Circuits lab, Electronic Circuits lab, Communications lab, Advance communication lab, Digital Electronic circuits lab, Microprocessors lab, Computer lab, Control lab, Digital Signal Processing lab (DSP) and workshops.
