Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering concerned with the design, ‎development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of ‎people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, material and process. ‎Therefore, industrial engineers are able to work in various sectors and industries ‎including manufacturing and service organizations.

They have high quality skills in ‎strategic planning, quality management, information systems, maintenance and ‎reliability engineering, project management, manufacturing systems, operations ‎research and management science.

The recent graduates of the Industrial ‎Engineering (IE) Department have contributed to the domestic, national and ‎international markets in numerous fields.

The IE department is working constantly ‎on nurturing the human resource competencies and developing the ‎infrastructure capabilities in order to support and advance towards the state of the ‎art in academic programs, scientific research and technological developments.

The Industrial Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. Through the ABET accreditation, students are expected to attain 7 Student Outcomes (SOs), which are set by ABET Organization. These SOs are linked to the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), which describe what graduates are expected to attain within a few years after graduation, and these are consistent with the mission of An-Najah National University.
