This project will introduce the structural analysis and design of the building of “Hebron University for Technological Sciences” which is located in Hebron-Palestine.
This building will be structurally analyzed and designed using a three dimensional model in a cooperation with an adapted and suitable computer applications, and then will be compared with a one dimensional manual analysis, figure below shows a photo for the project.
This building consists of 8 stories with about 1500m2 area for each floor –including the parking- for multiple use, varies from classes, labs, offices and terraces to an auditoriums, In our attempts to design, the different occupancies of the building we are forced to use large spans and multiple structural systems.
The building is about 76m long, which is considered relatively as long building, so, due to the expansion effects expansion joints will be used. Figure shows the main plans of the building.
