Daimler and UNESCO end partnership on Mondialogo

The partnership linking Daimler and UNESCO on Mondialogo since 2003 is coming to an end. The first operational phase of promoting intercultural dialogue among young people has laid the groundwork for an extraordinary international movement. This stage has opened new perspectives that are necessary for the systematic integration of intercultural dialogue at the educational level. We encourage you to continue your efforts in this area and hope to enable thousands more young students and scholars to benefit from these invaluable cultural exchanges should other opportunities arise.

The creative projects that have been initiated by school students and the project ideas submitted by young engineers have since testified to an extraordinary solidarity, linking cultures through an interactive dialogue across borders. More than 95,000 students from 161 countries with different cultural, linguistic and religious backgrounds have been involved in hands-on activities in favour of inclusive quality education, access to education, human rights, peace, etc. Around 10.000 young engineers from 122 countries have submitted project proposals to reduce poverty, promote sustainable development, whereas the Mondialogo Internet Portal reached the 40,000 Community members from 183 countries.
