On Sunday, March 29, 2015, An-Najah celebrated the opening of the "International Quality in Engineering Education Week" at the Turki Bin Abdelaziz Auditorium in the New Campus. The events of the conference will take place from March 29th to April 2nd.

The Week’s events include workshops, lectures, meetings with alumni, display booths, and faculty association activities.

The Conference was to highlight the importance of An-Najah's achievement of obtaining of the accreditation for 7 programs in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology from the ABET.

On this occasion, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, expressed his content and pride at this distinguished achievement on the national and regional levels. Prof. Natsheh said that this accomplishment adds to the University’s series of great achievements in the recent years. He stressed his continuous support for improving and developing the quality of education offered at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology as well as all as the other faculties.

Prof. Natsheh added that this accreditation will provide greater employment opportunities for graduates of the accredited engineering programmes; the criteria and standards that they are evaluated on are the same as those in U.S universities.

In their speeches, Prof. Muhammad Al-Subou', Adnan Nayfeh, Dr. Khalid Al-Sahli and Dr. Ayham Jaaron commended An-Najah's efforts and expressed their pride for the accreditation.

-At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates from the Faculty of Engineering in appreciation of their hard work.

-The ABET center was established at An-Najah in 2011.

- Established in the US in 1932 ABET is a non-profit and non-governmental accrediting agency for academic programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology worldwide
