The program of Geomatics and surveying Engineering was established in 2019 due to the rapid technological advances and developments and the increased demand for specialists in this area, both locally and regionally.
The graduates from this program get a Bachelor degree in Geomatics Engineering which allows them to be registered and certified in both the Palestinian Engineers Association and Palestinian Certified Surveyors Association. The program covers the different topics of geomatics engineering which include: ground and cadastral surveying, photogrammetry, satellite surveying (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, geodesy and cartography.
The specialization and expertise of the academic staff spans the main disciplines of modern Geomatics engineering that will cover all the above-mentioned areas. In addition, the Program has laboratory facilities that are furnished with high quality state-of-the-art equipment facilitating advanced experimental work for teaching, research and consultancy. The laboratories are also staffed with qualified and well-trained laboratory assistants and technicians.
