Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering concerned with the design, development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, material and process. Therefore, industrial engineers are able to work in various sectors and industries including manufacturing and service organizations.
They have high quality skills in strategic planning, quality management, information systems, maintenance and reliability engineering, project management, manufacturing systems, operations research and management science.
The recent graduates of the Industrial Engineering (IE) Program have contributed to the domestic, national and international markets in numerous fields.
The IE Program is working constantly on nurturing the human resource competencies and developing the infrastructure capabilities in order to support and advance towards the state of the art in academic programs, scientific research and technological developments.
The Industrial Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Industrial and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
Through the ABET accreditation, students are expected to attain 7 Student Outcomes (SOs) , which are set by ABET Organization. These SOs are linked to the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), which describe what graduates are expected to attain within a few years after graduation, and these are consistent with the mission of An-Najah National University. The ABET accreditation process is managed by the ABET Centre.
